The Build the Foundations half-day Chi Running workshop will bring relaxation into your running, helping you run with less effort, be more efficient and reduce the risk of injury. You’ll learn the key principles of efficient movement through a series of fun exercises, drills, visualisations and practice.

As you develop a mindful approach to your running, you’ll get more enjoyment from your training, feel better about yourself and find you have more energy than ever.

The skill of Chi Running will help you create a life-long programme for health and fitness.

Format of the workshop

  • Welcome and introductions
  • Alignment & relaxation – work on postural alignment and breathing
  • Balance
  • Co-operating with force – efficient ways to create forward momentum
  • Walk to run
  • Cadence, stride-length & speed
  • Visualisations
  • Practice

Throughout the workshop we’ll be focusing on a mindful approach to your practice and the principle of gradual progress.

Suitable for all levels of fitness and running ability. Limited to 6 places to ensure plenty of individual attention.
