Chi Running Workshop: 1-day Build the Foundations

The Build the Foundations Chi Running workshop will bring relaxation into your running, helping you run with less effort, be more efficient and reduce the risk of injury. You’ll learn the key principles of efficient movement through a series of fun exercises, drills, visualisations and practice.
As you develop a mindful approach to your running, you’ll get more enjoyment from your training, feel better about yourself and find you have more energy than ever.
The skill of Chi Running will help you create a life-long programme for health and fitness.
The workshop includes individual video observation of your current running form to give you a clear sense of the key areas where you can improve efficiency and reduce impact on the body.
Format of the day
- Welcome and introductions
- Outdoor video observation
- Alignment & relaxation – work on postural alignment and breathing
- Co-operating with force – efficient ways to create forward momentum
Lunch: Fruit and a light salad lunch will be provided
- Walk to run
- Cadence, stride-length & speed
Throughout the day we’ll be focusing on a mindful approach to your practice and the principle of gradual progress. Suitable for all levels of runner and fitness. Limited to 6 places to ensure plenty of individual attention.
